Dismissed
by Rachel A. Gold

I worship at your throne along with others,
With others, I was courted, laughed with, kissed,
And now I find myself, along with others,
Dismissed.
I hoped that, when you chose, you'd find the reason
Living was so happy lay with me,
But hope like that apparently was treason,
I see. Moonlight was love light when we sat in the park,
But love light was just moonlight to you in the dark,
And now you've gone away, and in the future,
I hope you find the happiness I've missed,
And never to feel, the way that I must feel,
Dismissed.

Cry
