Poetry by Rachel A. Gold

by Rachel A. Gold

She is a loving, happy pet
And also is a cutie
She is a most important cat
A lady and a beauty

When we go out and then return
She meets us at the door
She is so glad to see us back
And we say "Hello, Mur!"

She thinks this spacious house is hers
And here she lets us stay
Sometimes she wonders and feels sad
That we should go away

She thinks that we should always be
Here in our proper place
To ever hold and talk and then
Exchange a swift embrace
